Recently, the Saudi Space Agency announced the success of the mission that sent the first Saudi female astronaut, Rayyanah Barnawi, and male astronaut, Ali Al-Qarni, into space. Following a safe return to Earth, their journey marks a significant national achievement for Saudi Arabia in the space sector.

During their mission, the Saudi astronauts conducted 14 pioneering scientific experiments on the International Space Station (ISS). These included six experiments focusing on the brain and nervous system, four on immune cells, and a specialized experiment on rain-seeding technology.

Barnawi and Al-Qarni launched with NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson and American entrepreneur John Shoffner aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on a mission organized by Axiom Space. The 10-day mission aimed to build national expertise in human spaceflight, explore global opportunities in the space sector, and contribute to scientific research that benefits humanity. Their journey stands as a notable national achievement for Saudi Arabia in space exploration.
